Art-directed the design, and managed the implementation for the re-design of the second edition of an award-winning program originating from Pearson. enVision® Mathematics a K-5 education curriculum. Responsible for carrying the design strategy and identity throughout all components in the product line, while adding new features and components over the course of several years.
Worked with artists to create spontaneous, unexpected, and playful scenes to engage students within all grades. The covers became part of the program branding and were thoughtfully carried over into all print/digital, packaging, and marketing materials. The below series of covers were created for our National market in the U.S. I've chosen to show 4 out of 6 grades. There are different size configurations between lower and upper grades.
I managed the re-design of our best-selling Math program. I helped to create new components, features and modify existing products over time. Some shown below are Pick a Project, 3ACT Math, and Let's Investigate, which are part of the chapter instruction. We also introduced avatars throughout the lesson to help students navigate through the exercises. We brought in the robots from our covers, and they enhance our brand by taking on the role of fun, spontaneous friends from another dimension. Both are also used in our digital products.
Our game online opener is designed with the use of our program pattern that we use throughout the interior product.
Our interactive student edition picks up print content but allows students to solve the problem with the use of a drawpad.  The covers and patterns are carried over to our digital platform to tie the brand together.
Interactive activities are meant to enhance the student experience.  Supported the re-design of the UI and rebranding, along with adding new activities over time. Our product line is visually connected throughout print and digital components.
This was an exercise to break down our print in order to reimagine our program's digital experience. We never got to build this or improve on it, but these rough concepts show the thinking behind what our digital experience could have been at the time.
Special thanks to all my designers on the program, and all of the artists who created our covers in-house.
